About me

I am currently a Ramon y Cajal and Ikerbasque Research Associate leading the Laboratory of Humanized Models of Disease. 

Our lab aims at unraveling human astrocyte-specific pathways and mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis and progression of AD. Our approaches include the use of humanized in vitro models, chimeric mice and postmortem samples from AD patients that allow exploration of human reactive astrocytes at morphological, molecular, biochemical and functional levels.
