Neuroscience Day achieves STEAM Euskadi recognition seal
The Department of Education of the Basque Government in collaboration with the Basque Agency for Innovation, Innobasque, awards these seals annually to activities that promote knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics in connection with the Arts and Humanities.
Neuroscience Day is an initiative of the neuroscience research community in the territory of Bizkaia, mainly from the UPV/EHU campus in Leioa. In addition to the Achucarro as the main organizer, the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing and the Faculty of Science and Technology of the UPV/EHU collaborate in its organization.
The objective of these conferences is to bring the professional field of research, particularly in neurosciences, closer to university students of the most related studies that can give continuity to postgraduate courses and theses in this field of knowledge.
This recognition from the Department of Education of the Basque Government and Innobasque – the Basque Innovation Agency, represents support for the organization and development of this activity, which arises voluntarily, due to the commitment of the research staff involved, with social communication of science, and to promote scientific culture.
